We found MMS when looking for an alternative to trailing our club’s support boats to various service dealerships. The initial service to our Yamaha outboard was excellent and Rares has now serviced most of our seven vessels including our diesel engines. It is a pleasure to work with a skilled professional and we have valued the care and attention we receive from MMS.
Annual boat service, trailer service and rego pink slip all sorted in the one day without having to miss work or waste a day off driving the boat to and from a shop. The convenience of a mobile marine mechanic coming to you cannot be overstated. Pricing is excellent and Rares is very generous with his time putting in extra hours fixing unexpected problems on the spot.
Rares was able to provide a solution to a difficult and potentially costly issue relating to the lower unit of the stern drive, which another mechanic was unable to solve. He designed a specific tool and rectified the issue in a short amount of time, saving me significant money. His expertise highlights the value of using an engineer to deal with difficult situations.
Res provides first class service, is great at explaining what needs to be done, shows you what he actually does, and gives you ongoing guidance. He has awesome knowledge which he is happy to share to help you take responsibility for boat maintenance. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

From the very efficient online quote system to the actual on-board service, I was very impressed by the attention to detail and communication. Rares went through all aspects of the service to the degree that I am now confident to do an annual service myself — and he was the first to offer such support. A top job all-round.
I want to record my appreciation for the extraordinary level of short response time and reliability just before Christmas. The starter motor of my Bavaria 38 packed up before the holiday season, yet Rares was contactable on a Saturday afternoon and had it replaced the following Tuesday morning. His knowledge of the boat’s faulty electronics was also impressive.
Rares performed a logbook service on my 115 Evinrude eTEC at 300 hours. I am very confident in the professional and methodical approach he applied and the engine is running without a hitch. I feel very fortunate to have come across a mechanic with such in-depth knowledge of these engines.

Very professional service with a quick turnaround. During the purchase inspection for an outboard motor, Rares was able to teach the guys selling the motor things they didn’t know after 20+ years of owning and maintaining the engine. Great skill set coupled with prompt and professional delivery.
