 January 1st 2016 - we put the boat in the water for the first time this summer. Not a great start to the New Year as the Marner 60hp outboard engine was not performing properly. January 7th - Res of Mobile Marine Service came to carry out maintenance and service. Nice guy who explained what he was doing and obviously was an expert and loves his boats and engines. January 10th - On Sydney Harbour with complete confidence, and engine running superbly. Thank you Res, not only for your work and advice but also for your professional manner and efficient booking systems. It is with great pleasure that I provide a testimonial for Mobile Marine Service, in particular, Rares (Res) Badrea. Only recently I decided to buy a secondhand boat privately. Having had very little experience with boats, I decided to have a pre-purchase inspection done. So I looked up a random boat inspection service via Google. To my proven great fortune I came across Mobile Marine Service, but more importantly, Res. I arranged an inspection date and time with him. He was very punctual, which is always a good start in my eyes. He went through the boat with a fine tooth comb, both on dry land and on the water, and gave me a comprehensive inspection report. I was able to use that report to not only confirm my intention to purchase the boat, but also to negotiate a better price with the vendor. Res also referred me to a trailer mechanic who has subsequently completed my trailer repairs. What I found most incredible with this whole exercise was Res's professionalism, guidance and advice throughout the inspection process. He systematically showed me things about the boat that I simply had no idea about, and which have proven to be invaluable. He has since completed some critical repairs. The service Res provides is second to none, and I would highly recommend anyone who needs a boat inspection not to go past Res. Great value for money. I took the boat out following all the repairs and it is like a new boat. I could not be happier. I phoned MMS - Mobile Marine Service for a service quote after receiving a marketing brochure under my windscreen wiper when parked under Roseville Bridge. I spoke to Rares who was very polite and keen to meet my needs. Having the boat service done at my home was extremely convenient for me, and Rares took his time to explain what he was doing and just as important, what wasn't needed. During the service, he was very pleasant and easy to deal with.
